13 May 2015 NextLight, Longmont's gigabit municipal fiber network, is the source of the Ookla clocks average download speed in Longmont as 105 Mbps, they are sent in large files that can range from 100 to 300 megabits in size.
More than half of the market in Longmont has now signed up with NextLight. While NextLight subscribers enjoy fast, affordable, reliable connectivity from their network, benefits from competition are also creating a better environment for… “Our schedule was already aggressive, but we’ve heard repeatedly that our community is eager to receive high-quality, high-speed broadband,” LPC general manager Tom Roiniotis said. A few weeks ago, the city took first place with an ultra-high speed app in a National Institute of Justice competition.
